As a writer, I am happy
When a reader who is savvy
Gives me feedback, "You described this
Really well!"
"'Sweat was flowing from his brow...'
I can see him, even now,
He is certain he is going
Straight to hell!
"'Water poured right off his chin...'
You can feel the state he's in.
It's as if you somehow got
Inside his mind!
"'Bushy eyebrows...' I can see
He is right in front of me!
He's insane. You are a genius!
What a find!"
But, I didn't make him up.
I'm reporting, off the cuff.
My character is from my
Yesteryear.
All I did was write him down.
"Crazy smile. Horrid frown."
Now I hope the nightmare leaves,
And with it, fear.
