Just had my coffee,

my eyes are fully opened.

"That's dawn! Breaking now!"

you know you're having a good day as a writer of poetry

when the front of your shirt is sopping wet

you're so focused

you don't stop to swipe aside the streaming tears

then, surely, all will win

I will stop and smell the roses
